It’s fun to watch a Fourth of July parade, but it’s even more fun to be in one. Plans are underway and we want you to join us in the fun!
Volunteering to help us with the Parade won’t prevent you from participating in it. We could certainly use your help!
Please click on this bright orange volunteer button to find out how you might help.
The Parade will begin at 9:30am. If you would like to be in the procession meet us at the Perseverance Park fountain at 9:15 AM. We encourage you to get creative and decorate those bikes, golf carts, dogs, wagons, etc. Grab your neighbors, kids and friends, don your patriotic gear and come have a little fun to kick off the day.
Once the parade has made its way through the I’On Square we will celebrate our country’s birthday with a Salute on the Square that includes patriotic music, the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, and a reading of excerpts from the Declaration of Independence by I’On neighbors.
**Please note, North Shelmore at the entrance to the neighborhood will be closed for a short time to accommodate the parade procession. We will have rerouting signs up throughout the neighborhood to accommodate the closing.
***Special Request to N. Shelmore residents: if you live along the parade route, please don’t park your cars on N. Shelmore between 8:30 and 11:00 AM to leave plenty of room for our parade participants. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
